Senior Partnership Strategist

Kenya (she/her/hers) has spent her career working with and serving those from historically excluded groups and communities.

Prior to joining Kindred,  Kenya served as the Director, Technical Instruction for the Remote Training Team at Per Scholas, a tuition-free technical training program that helps launch the IT careers of unemployed and underemployed adults. Through this role and her role as the Director, Student Experience for the Silver Spring, MD campus, Kenya partnered with the the instructional staff to find ways to improve the classroom experience for enrolled learners. This included assessing classroom engagement and curriculum delivery, attending to staff development needs, and providing supportive counseling and resource referral to learners.

Kenya earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and  a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kenya currently lives in Maryland where she works as a part-time therapist. She spends her free time catching up with her family and friends, cooking, and finding new shows to binge on the weekend.
