Trisha (she/her) has been a senior leader in nonprofit organizations for over 15 years. Her pathway into education started in the classroom, where she taught and led her second grade scholars to academic success, while earning her Masters in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. After three years in the classroom, Trisha joined the recruitment team at Teach For America. During her nine-year tenure at Teach For America, she built strategic national partnerships with Latinx-serving organizations, recruited Latinx college students and professionals to become teachers, and advocated for educational equity for all students. Prior to joining Kindred, Trisha continued her work with Latinx communities through her work at the Hispanic Scholarship Fund as vice president of regional development. In her role, she was responsible for ensuring that HSF had the financial resources to provide increased scholarship funding for some of our nation’s most promising students.
Her passion for education and service goes beyond her work with TFA and HSF. She currently serves on the board of the alumni association for her alma mater, Syracuse University. While at SU, she earned her bachelor’s degree in public policy and sociology. Trisha currently lives in our nation’s capital with her husband and two dogs.
