Cindy Navarro
Facilitator and Organizer
Cindy (she/her/ella) has spent her career advocating for equitable ways to engage families in K-12 education, with a focus on caregivers from marginalized communities. Prior to joining Kindred, Cindy served in the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Office with the Prince George’s County Public Schools. There, she served as the ESOL Office’s Lead for their strategic plan goal of increasing family and community engagement. During her time at the ESOL Office, Cindy led equity-focused professional development and served on several district task forces committed to addressing equity gaps. Cindy is currently completing an undergraduate degree in Justice Studies, with double minors in Women/Gender Studies and Spanish from Arizona State University.
Cindy resides in Maryland and enjoys spending time visiting museums with her young son and watching movies with their two rescue dogs.
